The beautiful sounding pipe organ in the church was installed in the 1940’s and is maintained and serviced regularly by the Alan T. Jackson & Company Limited, which is the service representative for Casavant Frères L.P., Pipe Organ Builders from Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Last Spring, the parish received
a tender for the needed refurbishment of several of the parts that are associated with the organ pipes, and to do some upgrading and re-wiring. The total cost of this of this expense (including HST) is $23,990.00. Due to the amount, approval for this expenditure was sought and received from the Archdiocese of Toronto. The parish also received approval to apply the balance of our Family of Faith Funds for this expense. The current balance of the Family of Faith account is $10,269.76. These
funds have been held in trust by the Archdiocese. The remaining balance to be paid from general parish funds is $13,720.24. The work on the organ is due to be completed in the next couple of weeks. If anyone wishes to contribute to this refurbishment, donations can be made through the regular St. Patrick’s Building Fund. There are extra blue “Building Fund” envelopes available along the counters of the church. All donations are welcome and appreciated. Thank you in advance!
