Sacrament of Marriage

Couples who want to marry at St. Patrick’s Parish, or are planning a marriage outside of the Archdiocese of Toronto (eg. in another diocese within Canada, or in another country) are required to meet with one of the priests here at St. Patrick’s and complete their preparations in the Archdiocese of Toronto.

One of either the bride or groom (Catholic Party) must live within the parish boundaries, or, if living outside of the parish boundaries, must be registered in the parish and attend on a weekly basis. It is a policy of the Archdiocese of Toronto that one year’s advance notice is required for marriages. It is important that couples do not book reception venues etc. before contacting the church.

The parish boundaries of St. Patrick’s are as follows: Lake Ontario to the South, College Street to the North, Spadina Ave. to the West, and Elizabeth Street & York Street to the East.
