Holy Communion to the Homebound

We have noticed that some individuals have been coming forward in the Communion line with a Pyx (small container used to bring Communion to the sick) to receive Holy Communion to bring to their loved ones at home.

To ensure the reverent and proper handling of the Eucharist, we kindly ask those who would like to bring Holy Communion to the homebound speak with Fr. Tom before or after Mass rather than presenting a pyx in the Communion line to one of the Extraordinary Ministers of Communion.

We would also like to keep a record of the names of those receiving Holy Communion at home, and who is bringing it to them. This practice helps us maintain the dignity of the Sacrament and ensures that proper procedures are followed in ministering to the homebound.
