Participate in Building Our Parish Community!
Your presence is required on June 29th at 7:00pm at a Parish Listening Circle Session to be held in the Church. In order to form a Pastoral Council that will give direction to St. Patrick’s Parish in the next few years your participation is important in this open, listening and discussion evening.
This is an opportunity for us to grow as a Christian Community as we reflect together on how the Holy Spirit desires to lead us. To do this, we will consider the themes to be discussed by all the world Bishops at the Synod in Rome in October.
Three Themes:
1. Called and Gifted through Baptism – Come and See. Formation of the baptised, particularly adults as missionary disciples of Jesus following his invitation
to follow him.
2. Communion with Christ and One Another – Love one another as I have loved you. Building a safe place where all are welcome; a place where it is safe to question and be heard. Creating a liturgy that is inclusive and celebrated with each other and the world in which we live.
3. Sent Forth on Mission – Go out and make disciples throughout the world.
Reaching out to others particularly those in need and on the peripheries. Communicating our identity as a Church in order to spread the Gospel message as widely as possible and through a variety of means.
Come join us in building our parish community!
