Meet Fr. Ako Trevor Walker CSsR, presider over this year’s Triduum (June 25, 26, 27, 2025) at St. Patrick’s Shrine Parish in downtown Toronto. Mass starts at 7 pm.
Click on the poster below for more information about Fr. Ako and the upcoming Triduum.
Throughout the three nights of mass, song and homilies in honour of our Mother of Perpetual Help, Fr. Ako, a Redemptorist, will speak about his ministry to Latino migrants at Sacred Heart/St Patrick’s parish, Baltimore where he is pastor.
In 2014, as a young seminarian, Fr. Ako preached for Devotions TV about how Mary, Mother of Jesus, guides his ministry to those most abandoned.
“Mary is the Mother of the oppressed, those unjustly treated by society and those pushed to the fringes because of their economic situation, their health status, their ethnicity and even their sexual orientation. “
In March 2024, following the collapse of the Baltimore’s Franklin Scott Key Bridge (in which 6 men lost their lives), Fr. Ako and his Latino community provided pastoral support for grieving families and friends.
“Mary is not only Jesus’ mother but, per se, is the mother of all who are in pain. She is our Mother of Perpetual Help.”
