Become a Volunteer!

Thank you for your interest in St. Patrick's Out of the Cold program. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the loss of funding from the City of Toronto for floor security, we have stopped serving dinner in-house and providing accommodations to our guests at St. Patrick’s. However, to help as many homeless guests and people facing food insecurity as possible, we will be preparing meals at St. Patrick’s which will then be served by two agencies (Good Shepherd Ministries on Queen St. East and St. Felix on Fraser Avenue) at their locations by local staff.

We will need about 14 volunteers each weekend to help prepare, package, and transport the meals, as well as clean the kitchen area. Regular volunteers can expect to work one to four hours every second or third weekend, while volunteers on the reserve list would be called upon when needed.
