St. Patrick's Parish resumes Public Mass June 11, 2021

Posted : Jun-08-2021

Dear Parishioners,

On Monday, June 7th, the Ontario government announced revisions to the Province’s “Roadmap for Reopening” as they pertain to places of worship. I am pleased to inform you that the updated measures now allow for places of worship to re-open in Step 1 (instead of Step 2 which was previously announced) at 15% capacity (at St. Patrick’s Church this is 128 people). Step 1 of the provincial reopening plan will begin on Friday, June 11th.

In light of this news, Holy Mass will be offered on Friday, June 11th at 12:10pm for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Regular Sunday and weekday masses will also resume according to the same “pandemic schedule” that we have been following over the past year. All WorshipSafe guidelines will continue to be followed, including physical distancing, the mandatory use of masks or face-coverings, Communion in the hand only, and no congregational singing.

The elderly, those with compromised immune systems or other health conditions are encouraged to exercise extreme caution about any outings, including attendance at church. The dispensation from Sunday Eucharist continues.

Unfortunately, due to both technological and practical reasons during public Masses, St. Patrick’s is unable to continue the live-stream Masses on our YouTube channel. A listing of parishes offering live-streamed Masses throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto can be found at

St. Patrick’s church schedule is as follows:

Sunday Masses – 5:00pm (Sat. Vigil), 8:30am, 11:00am, 5:00pm

Wednesday Masses (with devotions to Our Mother of Perpetual Help) – 9:30am, 12:00pm, 2:30pm, 5:05pm, 7:00pm

Weekday Masses (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) – 12:10pm

The Church will open one hour prior to Mass for private prayer and will close immediately after each mass in order to allow for volunteers and staff to disinfect the church. Mass attendance will be on a “first come basis” until the capacity of 128 persons is reached.

Confessions will be available on Tuesdays and Thursday from 11:00am to 11:45am and on Saturdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

St. Patrick’s religious articles store will once again be open on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 7pm.

During this time, the parish office will remain closed to the public. Please feel free to leave a voicemail message if you have questions or concerns. Voicemails will be monitored regularly. You may also email the parish office at

I hope that the opportunity to gather as a faith community and to resume public Masses and the regular sacramental life of the church will be a welcome source of joy and encouragement. The parish staff and Redemptorist community look forward to welcoming you back once again.

In Christ, the Redeemer.
